A reminder of where we've been and where we plan to go can be seen on the map below.

During our pitch-down, we got chatting to a fellow camper who was there with his family whom, as it turns out; lives only a few miles away from us in Bradford. How bizarre is that? All this way into West Wales and you end up speaking to some bloke who lives down the road from you. Wild!
On the Road
Off we set on the road to Cardigan Bay with cries of "where's the crisps?" and "what sweets are there?" being met with "we've only just left the campsite" from Debbe neutralizing pangs of manufactured hunger. Hey, if you don't ask you don't get is my motto!Turn Left Here: Crunch!
I thought things were going too well!My navigator mistakenly tells me to take the next left at a roundabout an hour into our journey. The mistake was quickly released and a spot was chosen on a residential street to turn around. Not a problem, easy peasy in a car, or van (read motor home). But in a car/caravan towing combination like ours; forward planning of any maneuver is needed. A luxury denied to us on this occasion.
Sob!
Earlier this morning (Sunday) we took a break from our holiday merry-making to look for a caravan dealer we'd been told about some 20 odd miles away which would hopefully have a replacement light unit. Fifty quid later we had a replacement which was fitted in a jiffy. The split body work will have to wait till we get back home. That was an expensive left turn.
Cardigan Bay CCC Site
Despite the mishap en-route we arrived at the Cardigan Bay Camping and Caravanning Club site in good time, in good weather and in good spirits.First impressions were good and we were allocated a good pitch. The local pub, which we sampled later in the day, was only a 15 minute walk away and served food. A point noted for later in the week.
Mobile phones have signal again and our DAB radio is once again, able to keep us entertained. We closed our first day on site with a barbie (gas-powered of course) and a few tinnies to celebrate the start of leg two of our four centre holiday.More capers soon.
PS: Take a look at the slide show I've added to the right of this blog. I'll keep it updated with photos of our exploits both past and present.
